Individual Counseling
Individual therapy, often referred to as Adlerian therapy, is an approach in which your therapist works with you to identify obstacles and create effective strategies for working towards mutually agreed upon goals. Adlerians believe that, by gaining insight into one's challenges, you can overcome negative feelings you are experiencing. This type of therapy consists of four stages: engagement, assessment, insight and reorientation.

Adult Counseling
There is no age limit for developing psychological or mental problems. Everyone from a young child to a senior person of 80 plus may be affected by issues. However, treating adult patients plagued with mental problems is often the most difficult. Most of them have had some experience with the world and will have formed their own ideas when they appear before a counselor for treatment. It is therefore the responsibility of the counselor, to get them to give up their fixed notions and learn to accept their problems first. The adult counselor thus has to deal with the mind and the spirit as well as the body of the patient via talk therapy, medication and supplementary coaching on health, nutrition and physical fitness. The ultimate aim is to convert the troubled adult into a whole person, healthy both physically and mentally. Some of our areas of expertise that we help adults include:
Life Transitions
Stress management
Work Life Balance
Anxiety
Depression
Trauma

Group Counseling
Group therapy is a great source of support and growth for people of all ages. The individuals in the group act as a source of insight and support while reinforcing the idea that each individual is not the only one experiencing these problems. Groups include one or two therapists working with a group of 4-8 individuals on specific skills or how to process challenging situations. Our groups are designed to educate and help improve overall mental health and well being. We even offer groups virtually!

If we are born into a healthy family with healthy relationships, we are likely to learn how to maintain healthy relationships. If we are born into a dysfunctional family that struggles to connect, we may also struggle to connect with others.
Parenting Coaching
Parenting can be satisfying and fulfilling. But it can also be difficult and time-consuming. Parents must tend to an infant or child’s daily needs. They are also responsible for helping each of their children develop life skills. These skills include daily living skills, social skills, and appropriate behaviors. New parents, overwhelmed parents and parents facing mental health conditions may benefit from the support of a mental health professional. A therapist or counselor can help parents navigate difficult situations and/or behavioral concerns.
Work-Life Balance
Work-life balance is about keeping a separation between your work and your play/family life with proper prioritizing of your roles in each. This problem has become more and more prevalent as communication technologies have advanced. Now, even if you are not physically at work, your computer and cell phone put you in constant contact with work. Making it difficult to respect the boundaries between your work and time for life/play/family. The work-life balance is personal and individual, no two are the same and there is no exact science to figure out what is the right balance.
Marriage Counseling
Marriage counseling can help couples in all types of intimate relationships — regardless of sexual orientation or marriage status. Some couples seek marriage counseling to strengthen their partnership and gain a better understanding of each other. It can also help couples planning on getting married. Premarital counseling can help provide couples with a much deeper understanding of each other and iron out differences before marriage. In other cases, couples seek marriage counseling to improve a troubled relationship. You can use marriage counseling to help with many specific issues ranging from overcoming the challenges from infidelity to helping improve communications.
Family Problems Counseling
While it is certainly unlucky to be born into a dysfunctional family, it’s not an unchangeable situation. Nearly all families deal with some sort of dysfunction at one time or another, yet most families retain or regain a sense of wholeness and happiness. Family therapy offers families a way to do this; a way to develop or maintain a healthy and functional family.
